Dripping Springs Camp

Dripping Springs consists of 80 acres of woods, water, and wild things. A secluded campsite on the prairie, Dripping Springs provides quiet days and dark nights for camping. Listen to the night; hear the barred owls hoot as the wild coyotes howl.

Camping, nature study, campcraft, and woodcraft activities are all appropriate. There is also a running creek and a fishing pond.  For instructional purposes there is a covered pavilion and a teaching area. There is also a water-side chapel.

Drinking water is available at five locations.  There are port-a-johns throughout the camp near the campsites.

Adult training can be conducted inside the air-conditioned Roark Training Center equipped with electric stove, refrigerator, kitchen area, television and VCR, tables and chairs, indoor toilets, and a shower.

Weekend Unit Camping

Packs, Troops, Teams, Crews, Posts, and Ships are all welcome to camp at Dripping Springs. The property is open for camping on weekends throughout the year except for major holidays and during council and district camps. There are a few campsites to choose from with picnic tables and port-a-johns. All campsites have running water available seasonally. Units may also reserve one of the several structures on camp, including the JC Meek Pavilion and Roark Training Center. Reservations are required at least two weeks in advance and may be made up to eleven months in advance.

Cub Scout packs may view camp availability using the reservation link below. Troops and Crews may view availability and reserve campsites.
